What is Luck?

What Is Luck?

What is Luck? = You Create Your Own

Well, in the words of one of my most favorite ladies, Oprah Winfrey, it is when preparation meets opportunity.

We can’t just it around and hope that good things will happen.

We all know that the chances of winning the lottery are miniscule.  It is a game of random chance for which we cannot prepare.

Laying the foundations of our lives is the preparation part of luck.  We must take steps to educate ourselves and never stop learning so that we are constantly in a state of being ready to receive what we need into our lives.  Having an awareness that the world and economy is changing is preparation, being proactive and not reactive to circumstances is preparation and a willingness to push ourselves outside of our comfort zone is preparation.

For a long time, I admit to being complacent about my future.  When I was younger I ‘assumed’ certain things would happen.  You know the significant rites of passage like birth, marriage, career changes etc.  It’s only as I’ve got older that I have realised the dangers of ‘assumption’.  If we want something we must prepare our own pathway to receive it.

So, what about the opportunity part of ‘luck’?  Opportunities happen when we put ourselves out there and take a chance.  As Richard Branson once said, you should say ‘yes’ to an opportunity even if you’re not sure how to do something because you can always learn later.  Fear very often stops us from taking our chances and it is the thief of opportunity.

Entrepreneurs aren’t just blessed with ‘luck’.  They work hard, understand there is no such thing as ‘get rich quick’ and they know how to maximise the chances of preparation meeting opportunity.

Winning in business, sport or life isn’t just down to luck.

It’s down to practice, commitment, mental toughness, physical fitness, skill and the right team behind you.  Being an affiliate marketer involves the same set of requirements.  You’re not just brilliant at it straight out of the gate, I’d be lying if I said otherwise.  But, if you know where you’re looking and who to ask, the right education and tools are waiting for you so that you can take your life to the next level.

You have to be committed because the harder you work the luckier you get!

I wish you every success for your digital future!
