I Need A Life Hack!

I need a Life Hack – Get a Positive Attitude!

I need a life hack you’re yelling so as we only have one life to live and you’re on my website, I’m guessing you want to live as long as possible and more importantly, as well as possible.

Almost all centenarians class themselves as positive people and remain innovative.  The ‘I need a Life Hack’ question is one they’re addressing all the time in order to make sure that their life is dynamic, interesting and worthwhile.  This means they move with the times and don’t allow themselves to get stuck in a rut.  Trudi Fletcher, an artist from Arizona, explained her view of life just as she was about to turn 100: –

“At 99 years of age, in the year 2011, a strong creative excitement came over me. I didn’t want to paint landscapes or still lifes, so I was painting shapes and colors.  I began to see people, animals and exotic birds emerging from my paintings.”

Innovative, entrepreneurial people never want to stop learning irrespective of how old they are or what has happened to them in the past.

Redundancy, retirement, divorce, disability or any of those other life changing events don’t have to mean an ending.

I need a Life Hack – Change the Way You Think

Innovative people see ‘failures’ as merely steps on the road to their own success story.  Thomas Edison, the inventor of the commercial light bulb, summed this up beautifully: –

“I have not failed 10,000 times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those 10,000 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work.”

It’s all a question of how you view something – simple.

You can choose to change how you think about a situation and that choice is yours.  The people who succeed are the people who don’t stop after a few failed attempts.  That’s what ‘ordinary’ folk do and if you’re reading this blog then I’m assuming you don’t want to belong to the ordinary category.  Being extraordinary is what gets you ahead and moving forward in your own journey through life.

You set the intention for your own path.

Life Hack Tip of the Day:  I need a Life Hack = Be More Dog!

I went to see a friend of mine the other day and her dog was so excited to see me he peed all over the floor.  I can honestly say I’ve never managed to do that to anyone before!  It was a brilliant tonic though after a not so great day and reminded me that a dog lives in the ‘now’, it’s all about being in the moment.

Happiness is a dog’s default setting and they get excited about the simplest things whereas somewhere along the line many of us become embittered by all the bad stuff.

So, ‘be more dog’ because they don’t think about failure, worry about getting older, regret the past or sulk when something bad happens.  Take pleasure in the small things and be grateful for them.  Dogs also adapt to their changing circumstances and aren’t dominated by thoughts of money or what they don’t have.  They live in the ‘now’ and that’s the key.

The potential for change lies within us all, all you have to do is make the decision to take action and make the changes that are right for your life.

I wish you every success for your digital future!
